Neil Cloete, previously the Group Managing Director of Grinaker-LTA, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Liviero with effect from 1 March 2011. Liviero, a leading privately owned construction company operates throughout South Africa. Cloete, with more than 25 years experience in the construction industry, was at the helm of Grinaker-LTA through its most profitable phase. During his leadership, the group undertook major infrastructure projects including the iconic FNB Stadium, Nelson Mandela Stadium, Gateway Theatre of Shopping, Fairlands office park, Montecasino and the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Programme. Luca Liviero, Chairman says: “Cloete’s wealth of experience and respect in the industry garnered over the past 25 years will add invaluable business expertise and management sustainability to the Group, leading it into the next phase of Liviero’s growth.” Liviero, a diversified construction and engineering group, generates an annual turnover of around R1.4 billion. Due to the diverse nature of the group it has been able to deliver construction and engineering solutions in the Civil Engineering, Building and Mining sectors.
