Industrial
|
The Company has executed a large number of industrial projects, ranging from massive distribution centres to small factories.
After Liviero Civils completed the Earthworks and platforms for the Pick ‘n Pay Distribution Centre in Longmeadow, Johannesburg, the company was awarded the building contract. The contract was awarded due to the synergy between the two companies that allowed the building operations to commence while Civil works were still in progress. This involved constructing one of the largest Distribution Centres in the country, and the largest cold room in the Southern hemisphere. Commercial
|
By far the biggest component of the Company’s order book at present, the Company has successfully delivered over Two Billion Rand worth of commercial projects in the last three years. This includes shopping centres, new offices, office refurbishments, car dealerships and hotels.
The Company, in joint venture with a local partner, constructed a new hi-tech roof and added 4,000 seats to the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace near Rustenberg. This R407m contract was executed in 18 months and was completed and commissioned well in advance of the staging of the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2009. It was one of the first stadiums in the country to complete its World Cup upgrade. The highly technical roof installation which is suspended by a system of steel trusses, columns and tensioned Freyssibars was awarded the Category Winner: Technical Excellence, 2009, by the South African Institute of Steel Construction.

Residential
|
The Company has traditionally been the market leader of residential construction in Kwa-Zulu Natal and has also built a substantial number of units in Johannesburg.
The Company’s residential portfolio ranges from upmarket stand alone houses to Estate developments to high density apartments blocks.
The Company prides itself on delivering high quality residential accommodation within budget and time constraints. The Company has delivered over 2500 units in the last few years.

Development
|
Apart from executing in house residential development projects, the Company offers a professional turnkey development service to private developers. This involves assisting with designs, marketing, contracts, finance packaging, etc. The Company successfully combines the resources of the Civils Division to execute the Earthworks and infrastructure of developments, thereby providing a unique turnkey solution.
The Company is currently developing a large mixed use scheme just outside Polokwane in Seshego. This involves the conversion of a 200 hectare farm into 150 hectares of residential stands and 50 hectares of commercial and industrial stands. This will result in more than 1,300 residential units. This development is at an advanced stage of town planning.
The Company has recently completed two of their own upmarket developments in Umdloti known as 30 degrees and Turtle Bay.

Institutional
|
The Company has recently been involved in a number of institutional projects. In 2008/2009, the Company constructed the New Unisa Registration Building in Sunnyside, Tshwane. This was a fast track steel framed structure with modern industrial finishes. The Company is currently constructing a new four storey auditorium building for the Vaal University of Technology, which we will be completing in April 2011.
The Company has recently commenced construction of a new female residence for the University of Venda, scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2011

Retail
|
One of our greatest retail achievements of recent years has been the construction of the MooiRivier Mall in Potchefstroom. The Mall is over 95,000m2 in size with a total of 90 line shops, banks, restaurants, cinemas and parking for nearly 1,900 vehicles. The restaurants have been strategically placed along the river banks as to enjoy nature while you dine. A Hydro powered water wheel is situated adjacent to the East bank of the MooiRivier and is one of the largest manufactured and erected in Africa. G Liviero & Son Building commenced the project in October 2006 and achieved completion for the grand opening in April 2008 in record time for a project in excess of R 350 million. The MooiRivier Mall is claimed to be the most expensive construction project built in the North West Province. One of the major achievements on this project was the injury free results based on an average labour force of 1,500 employees / subcontractors. This was achieved even though the working hours were abnormally long and concrete in excess of 65,000m3 was cast together with a total of over 5 million bricks laid. This project achieved a result of over “2,5 Million Man Hours Fatality Free”
