Liviero’s road construction capabilities have grown steadily from road widening and conventional road building with related traffic accommodation to the more complex construction of traffic control facilities for SANRAL including the high profile Bapong Traffic Control Centre Project, which included the services, electrical and building works.

Other high profile road projects include the landmark Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project where Liviero, in joint venture with four other contractors, has been awarded two packages valued in excess of R3 billion.

Major clients include South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) and Tshwane Metro.

With one of the country’s largest privately owned construction plant assets at our disposal, Liviero is able to execute fast track bulk earthworks projects such as the Pick ‘n Pay Distribution centre in Longmeadow, where 600 000m³ of cut to fill was completed in 5 months.

Other high profile contracts include the appointment of Liviero as earthworks contractor at Soccer City for the 2010 World Cup upgrade and the Gautrain Sandton Station Parkade basement excavation and lateral support, which was successfully completed in January 2008. The latter project demonstrated, inter alia, Liviero’s skill in multi-level basement excavations.

Liviero Civils has successfully completed a number of infrastructure projects which have required a wide range of related services such as roads, storm-water, sewer and water reticulation, electrical and related building works.

These projects are executed for private clients as well as Liviero in-house developments.

Liviero’s concrete division has quickly attained a range of high profile contracts and clients in a competitive market.

One of this division’s first projects was two reservoirs - 30 Megalitre and 8 Megalitre respectively - for Anglo Platinum in Limpopo. Current projects include the construction of Rosebank Underground Station for the Gautrain and the adjacent parkade.

Projects such as the Pilanesberg Platinum Mine Project have seen this division grow into mining infrastructure verifying Liviero’s expertise in managing and delivering on time a wide range of fast track Civil projects.
